PE-RT Features

    Polyethylene of Raised Temperature Resistance (hereinafter referred to be PE-RT) is made under chemical copolymerization action between ethene monomer and octene monomer. It has retained the original healthy performance and low temperature resistance(-40℃) of PE (the long term work temperature is -20℃). Along with the application of PE-RT II and the technical development of raw material, PE-RT updated to II from I. PE-RT I only use for ground radiation heating with low temperature ,but PE-RT II has more performance of high temperature resistance, thus could be used for building cold and hot water system, drinking water system and high temperature ground pump system. its expected service life under normal use conditions is 50 years. 

PE-RT pipes produced by Chuanlu Group are made from imported PE-RT raw materials, the materials have passed through strict and scientific testing by international professional testing organization Bodycote (Bodycote is the world's recognized authoritative organization for long-term performance testing of polymer materials), the raw materials are prove to be qualified for hot water pipes.

PE-RT II cold and hot water system advantage

1、High Long-term Hydrostatic strength:

It is observed from the histogram of Figure 1 that: the design stress of PE-RT II pipe has more advantages than that PP-R and PE-RT I pipes, reflecting in higher loading capacity among the pipes of the same specification; thinner wall thickness meeting the same pressure requirement but saving more materials.

2、No low temperature brittleness, high impact resistance perfomance

PE-RT II is the material of PE family with good low temperature impact resistance performance. It can reach the lowest temperature -20 ℃ for long-term work and even when it is -15℃, it will has good impact resistance performance , which could avoid the flaw of non-construction in low-temperature regions in winter ( i.e, PP-R is easy to become brittle and crack at about 5 ℃).

3、Strong scratch resistance 

XRT70 PE-RT II material is a kind of ethylene/ hexylene copolymer polyethylene , with good performance of slow crack growth resistance, namely good strong scratch resistance. The performance can effectively reduce scratched outside surface of pipe materials caused by severe environment of installation site, stress concentration arising from improper welding position and other defects, to guarantee the long service life of pipes.

4、High welding strength

Same as PP-R, High-density XRT70 PE-RT II material with bimodal molecular weight distribution has good welding performance and melt strength, and excels middle-density PE-RT I material with unimodal molecular weight distribution, with reliable welding.

5、Easy Installation

（Recommend installation bending radius R>8dn）and compared to other pipes, PE-RT pipe is very flexible and is easy to be bended, which reduces the welded splice, speeds up the construction progress, saves materials and installation cost.

6、Health & Environmental Protection 

PE-RT pipe production process does not need other processing additives and does not produce harmful substances, it can reach food health standards, the material properties are stable and reliable, and can effectively prevent the secondary pollution of water supply. PE-RT pipe does not produce adverse effects on human health and environment in the whole process from raw material production, construction and installation, recycle and reuse, it is a green environmental friendly building material.
